Membership terms and financial benefit disclosure

Version claimback-protection-disclosure-v1.0-20260816. Read these terms before purchasing or registering a protected transaction.

1. Operator and administration

ClaimBack AI is operated by Pumps & Electrical Pty Ltd (ABN 29 680 127 379, ACN 680 127 379). ClaimBack manually administers eligibility, case assessment, benefit approval and bank-transfer settlement. QBE Insurance (Australia) Limited, AFSL 239545, is recorded in ClaimBack's controlled provider register together with ClaimBack's business policy reference. QBE does not operate this app and a ClaimBack membership does not, by itself, make a member a QBE policyholder or give the member a direct right to payment from QBE.

2. Recovery-first benefit

The benefit is assessed only on verified eligible loss remaining after refunds, credits, replacements, chargebacks, warranties, settlements and other recoveries. It is not an automatic refund or guaranteed payment. ClaimBack must manually approve every benefit, and may approve less than the calculated maximum where the evidence, remaining loss, exclusions or limits require it.

3. Plans and limits

The lowest applicable transaction, membership-year, category, portfolio or other approved limit applies. All amounts are AUD.

4. Eligibility

The member must be signed in, hold an active paid membership, provide a verified receipt and register the purchase within 14 days and before any known problem. The purchase must be in AUD and within the selected plan's minimum and maximum transaction limits. A purchase is not eligible if a failure, overdue delivery, refund refusal, dispute, claim or other relevant problem was already known when protection was requested.

Cash, cash equivalents, gift cards, gambling, cryptocurrency, financial products, unlawful goods, fines and taxes are excluded. ClaimBack may require identity, ownership, payment and evidence verification and may decline suspected fraud, duplication, misrepresentation or an ineligible transaction.

5. Waiting period and recovery exhaustion

A 14-day waiting period and 14-day minimum membership period apply. Before benefit assessment, the member must use the reasonable recovery options available for the transaction. At least one recovery record must be verified and a final merchant refusal or equivalent final response must be documented, unless an authorised reviewer records why another approved pathway applies.

6. Manual assessment and payment

No customer action can automatically approve or pay a benefit. ClaimBack calculates a maximum, an authorised administrator performs the final review, and payment is added to a separate manual settlement queue. The approved recipient must pass identity and bank-account checks. Bank details are encrypted and payment records are audited.

7. Membership billing and cancellation

Protect memberships are recurring monthly or annual subscriptions processed by Stripe. Current prices are shown before payment. Members may cancel future renewal, but cancellation does not create protection for a problem already known or restore an expired, exhausted or ineligible benefit. Refund rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

8. Pauses, capital controls and changes

ClaimBack uses transaction, member, daily, monthly and total exposure controls and may pause new sales, new protected transactions or benefit approvals to protect members and business solvency. A pause does not permit ClaimBack to disregard an existing obligation, but it may require additional verification or manual handling. Material term changes use a new version and effective date.

9. Complaints and support

Questions, benefit complaints or requests for a copy of the applicable record can be sent to support@claimbackai.com.au or through the contact form. These terms operate together with the general ClaimBack terms and privacy policy.
